Job purpose & Scope
1. Provide technical advice on pipeline corrosion and related matters covering corrosion studies related to cathodic protection, intelligent pigging, treatment , prevention, monitoring and analysis.
2. Provide advice on material selection, chemical treatment and analysis on corrosion for subsea pipelines and structures.
3. Carry out and conduct corrosion analysis, studies and surveys on pipeline and structure to determine corrosion behavior.
4. Develop routine and intelligence pigging programs and monitor outcome of the same.
5. Review inspection reports for pipelines and structures and facilities to determine cause of corrosion.
6. Provide technical advice on implementation of corrosion control measures and follow up/monitor the implementation phase.
7. Provide material selection/analysis services to determine type of material to be used and determine its cause of failure.
8. Prepare technical specification and design basis for cathodic protection projects.
9. Evaluate the adequacy/effectiveness of corrosion control systems on pipeline and structure.
10. Carry out studies/analysis on the effect of corrosion due to changes in operations mode.
11. Provide technical assessment on corrosion behavior considering the adequacy of chemicals, metallurgy and protection measures.
12. Evaluate intelligent pigging survey results.
13. Set up corrosion data management system for all subsea plant equipment/facilities.
14. Provide technical assistance to prepare all corrosion related procedures.
15. Carry out prequalification of corrosion contractors/consultants for inclusion in company' bidders list.
16. Evaluate facilities integrity and determine their remaining life based on prediction models.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree holder in Engineering preferably in Chemical / Mechanical / Corrosion disciplines
2. 10 years experience within the Oil & Gas industry
3. Familiar with Software Applications or programs such as ECE4, CASANDRA & PACER
4. Additional skills or certification in Intelligent pigging inspection and cleaning pigging
